Fireflies Class
Miss Annand is the teacher in Fireflies Class with support from Miss Naylor and Mrs Cope.
Our topics for this year include:
- The Mayans
- Comparing People and Places
- The Victorians
- Trade and Economics
- Early Islam
- Maps and Fieldwork.
Our PE lessons are on Tuesday and Friday with different sporting activities available including Football and Zumba afterschool.
We use Spelling Shed for our spellings. Children will be able to practise on their devices at home and complete the test in school. A new spelling rule will be issued weekly on Mondays with tests taken in school on Thursdays and Fridays. All children will also be issued with a spelling book.
We use Infinity Maths and Times Tables Rock Stars for home learning which extends what children have learnt in school lessons and further their own progress and understanding.
We run a Reading Raffle across the school so please ensure your child has a reading book in school at all times. Children who read five times a week at home can be entered for the raffle and ain a reading book!
